Meadow Arts Commission for Forestry Commission land at Mortimor Forest near Ludlow. As the Government announced an intention to sell swathes of our woodland, I was asked to make a comment. The work uses a barcode located on Forestry Commission sourced dowelling, a product sourced from young oaks translated through cloth into an installation of barcodes in a recess in the forest. The work questions a romantic attachment to trees, drawing attention to them as a valuable, managed commodity and in how man harnesses, employs and curates nature.
